With Ribbit, developers can create apps that send and receive calls and transcribe voicemail into text, reports CNet. Additionally, Ribbit created a switch that connects web-based calls to other phone networks, including VoIP service Skype. Ribbit's service is already embedded into Salesforce.com. The tools allow users to keep a log of sales calls and view voice- and email. The service's platform was built on Adobe technology, which may get complicated as Adobe has plans to launch voice capabilities through Flash. Ribbit plans to launch a voice service for consumers next year."
