Singapore's Lee Says Guards Negligent in Escape, Times Says : Singapore's Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew said security officers who failed to prevent the February escape of an alleged terrorist were negligent, the Straits Times reported, citing an e-mail interview. Lee said the guards weren't vigilant in handling Mas Selamat Kastari, the newspaper reported. Mas Selamat, alleged to have plotted at least three attacks in the island state including one on Changi Airport, escaped Feb. 27 from a Singapore detention center.
