Two clubs seal deal with Singapore GP for members to watch F1 race

Two clubs seal deal with Singapore GP for members to watch F1 race: Members of the two clubs at the Padang will finally get to watch the F1 race from their respective clubs. This came after a deal was concluded between the clubs and Singapore GP after three months of negotiations.

The Singapore Cricket Club and Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) are located within the race circuit so access to these sites during the race will be restricted.

Singapore GP earlier offered 550 free three-day walkabout passes to the clubs, on condition that each club buys 250 walkabout passes costing S$168 each.

After intense negotiations, each club will now get 700 such passes all for free.

SRC said it plans to charge a nominal fee for the 700 tickets and its 5,500 members will have to ballot for the tickets. - CNA/vm
