Torn between 2 lovers: A FILIPINO construction worker was in for a shock when he called his former girlfriend in December 2007. A police officer answered her cell phone. Ms Yulia Afriyanti,25, had been murdered and police wanted to talk to him, Mr Joseph Guerzon Corpuz told the High Court. Testifying at the trial of Kamrul Hasan Abdul Quddus, who is accused of murdering the Indonesian maid, Mr Corpuz, 29, said he got her number through a close friend. He called Ms Yulia the same day and they arranged to meet on her day off on Sunday, Oct 14. They spent the afternoon at East Coast Park before going window shopping at Lucky Plaza. He then took her to her employer's house in Grange Heights.
