Veteran Hindi film actress Leela Naidu passes away: "Yesteryear actress Leela Naidu passed away here on Tuesday after a prolong illness. She was 69.
She starred in a number of Hindi films as well as The Householder, by Merchant Ivory Productions.
She made her film debut alongside Balraj Sahni in 'Anuradha' (1960), directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
She, however, became famous after her non-orthodox role with Sunil Dutt in 'Yeh Raaste Hain Pyar Ke' (1963), based on the famous K M Nanavati vs. State of Maharashtra court case. "
