Questions About the Future of New York Magazine - Media Decoder Blog - NYTimes.com: "The death on Wednesday of Bruce Wasserstein, chief executive of the investment bank Lazard, raises the question of what becomes of New York magazine — a relatively tiny part of his financial holdings, but an important piece of the media world.

Mr. Wasserstein bought New York in 2003 for $55 million, beating out a group that included Mortimer B. Zuckerman and Harvey Weinstein. It has been reported that the magazine is actually held by a trust in the names of his children. He had three adult children from his second marriage, and two boys from his third. One son is Ben Wasserstein, an editor and writer formerly at New York who went to The New Republic two years ago.

He married early this year, for the fourth time, to Angela Chao, an executive of her family’s shipping company."
