Will trick make ‘magician’ disappear? - BostonHerald.com: Poor Russell Fitzgerald. Until two days ago he was known about Abington as the School Committee chairman who started meetings with the Pledge of Allegiance and a hokey magic trick or two. I saw his Aug. 30 performance. One second the rope has a knot. A-bra-cada-bra! There’s no knot!

Today you Google Russell Fitzgerald, he pops up coast to coast as Abington’s A-bra-cada-bra Man, emphasis on the bra.

I guess you could say he pulled the wrong rabbit out of the wrong hat at the very, very wrong time.

This Tuesday’s committee meeting magic trick involved a handkerchief and pretty blond School Committee member Ellen Killian. Fitzgerald and Abington’s 2011 Teacher of the Year (apparently Fitzgerald’s unwitting assistant) each held one end of a handkerchief on either side of Killian, who held its knot against her chest. Both men pulled their ends and — A-bra-ca-da-bra! — a bra tied to the handkerchief suddenly emerged from Killian’s folded arms, as if it were hers.
